Our story
We started 5thIndustry in 2019 to help manufacturers move away from paper travellers, whiteboards and disconnected spreadsheets. 5iMaintenance was born where the problems live: side by side with maintenance and engineering teams on the shop floor.
Along the way we realised the same thing kept happening: the moment something broke, the whole structured process fell apart. Reports lived in WhatsApp. Fixes lived in someone's head. The same pump failed again, and nobody remembered how it was fixed last time.
So we built Maintenance by 5thIndustry — a CMMS that treats the maintenance loop as a first-class citizen. Report, triage, repair, record, learn. One structured system around your assets, with an AI assistant that actually knows your machines.
Management
As CTO, Sebastian leads technology and product development at 5th Industry. Before founding the company, he worked as a plant manager and Head of Global Operations in industrial manufacturing, including at Siemens and Mercedes-Benz. His focus is on IoT and the digitalisation of production processes.
